Hello from the great white north
The only thing that is getting me through this insane winter (record lows and too much snow!) is the thought of starting my garden next year!
I have wanted a vegetable garden since I was a little girl and will finally realize my dream this summer!!! Looking forward to it and to getting hints and tips from seasoned gardeners!

Nejetty, Welcome to the SFG Forum from California! Tell us a little about your hopes and dreams for the garden. Are you going to try SFG? If so, I recommend that you read All New Square Foot Gardening, 1st or 2nd Edition, by Mel Bartholomew. It is an easy but invaluable read. Even if you are planning a row garden, or combination of the two, we are here to help and share. And, take photos to share, we love photos of other folks' gardens.
Re: Hello from the great white north
I am most definitely doing SFG...I have a teensy weensy yard so I have to make the most of it...taking this weekend to plan it all out so once the snow melts (if ever) I can get out there and start!
It`s -5 today (centigrade...dunno what that is in farenheit (sp) but know that it is not warm enough!) The sun is bright enough to melt the crazy icicles from the roof....yay!

Re: Hello from the great white north
I just noticed you are in Canada. Your Canada Host, Kelejan, will be along soon to also welcome you. I also have a teensy backyard and I would not be able to veggie garden without SFG boxes, 5-gallon buckets, large pots and growing vertically where and when feasible.
Re: Hello from the great white north
Welcome JeNetty! Glad you decided to try out SFG! I definitely wouldn't be gardening today if I hadn't tried it, because it's so easy and fun and gives you the confidence to keep playing with green things Can't wait to hear what your garden plans are!
It was -15F here this morning (-26C!).

Hello and JeNetty from your Canadian Host. Just a bit late welcoming you today as I have been busy and not logged until just now. See you over on the CANADIAN thread shortly.
