Cayanetta pepper seeds, mildly hot, I eat them in the garden..
The only place I found them was at Twilley's seeds.
Their named  hybrids and I am saving seeds from last season.
At $9.00 per 10 seeds I try to adjust when I can.
The plant itself is one of the most lovely I've seen, especially when the peppers turn red.
I've been growing them in 8 - 10 gallon containers, along with plants in my beds.
When season was over I tried to pull the plant out of the container, when I finally did
I found the entire ball full of roots.
Using M.M. and watching watering, along with lots of sun this pepper plant grows vigorously.
I have been reading where hybrid seeds aren't good to save, however at this price I'm
going to try. Your thoughts on hybrid vs heirloom seeds ?
Pictured is 1 of 5 plants I had...( deer won't touch them )

This is the young plant, I had a marigold in that finally was removed.

This is plant in full bloom, lots of peppers are produced here.Cayanetta pepper plants (hybrids) Cayane12

Roots filled the entire container, I mean really filled...seemed like the roots ate the M.M.Cayanetta pepper plants (hybrids) Cayane13

You can plant out hybrid seeds, that is how new OP varieties are made.  What you need to do though is plant out quite a few and then cull those that are not true to what you want.  From what I have read it takes about 7 cycles to stabilize the genetics to the new OP variety.  Go for it!
