Hello from Buffalo NY
I have planted a vegetable garden for may years now and am looking to do it better. For example, I never really planned for or incorporated crop rotation. This past season I planted to facilitate rotation... I want to have more squashes in my garden this coming year and I need to learn the best way(s) to trellis them. Knowing that a trellis will shade the plants to the north, is it possible to trellis and rotate crops in one bed? I hope I can find answers within. I'll start looking soon.

Re: Hello from Buffalo NY
Sambuca, Welcome to the SFG Forum! One of the benefits of our method is that crop rotation is not necessary under most conditions. Each time we plant, the square has been recharged with more compost back up to the original height. Some folks even have dedicated boxes for certain crops. There are wonderful photos of member's trellises and vertical supports on this Forum.
