Newly found appreciation for SFG

I have limited space and sunlight at my house but I make the best of my SFG boxes...and this spring for additional space for tomatoes and peppers I decided to rent a 25x25 plot from a retired gentleman's garden property. Holy Cow. After one day of tilling, digging, furrowing, pulling weeds, amending, mixing, fertilizing, watering, pounding, blisters, sunburn, aches, etc. I have a greater appreciation for what Mel developed. At the end of the day I was amazed at how much ground gets walked on and compacted compared to what actually gets planted...and anything that does not get planted becomes a haven for weeds.

It's super efficient to be able to plant in the SFG with only a hand or finger...more time for iced tea in the shade.
