In the buff
So, is anyone taking part in World Naked Gardening Day (today)?
Not me, that is for sure. It is a bit on the chilly side and I think I would get arrested

Re: In the buff
Icemaiden, this would be so much fun! BUT, it is a wee bit chilly and misting rain, that is not the reason I cannot join in. It's the Huge mosquitos that we are having this yr, can you imagine? Naked?

Re: In the buff
I went out in my jammies and robe this morning to uncover my tomatoes from last nite's cold. Does that qualify?
That's as close as I'll come to sunbathing in my garden.

Seriously??? That's just too way funny!
My neighbors would...well, I don't know what they'd do. :lolsignwave: They'd probably call an ambulance. Here in prude America I doubt we could get away with it. But it's OK here to garden in your thong. So crazy. Of course, they didn't have thongs back when I could wear one.

Re: In the buff
I do hope that nobody was offended! I didn't think "rude" when I saw the pictures, rather "how inconvenient". And that was even before mosquitoes were mentioned
Thanks to the people who took it in good spirits, and sincere apologies to those who may have objected.
My gardening experiences today have been limited to dashing out over the squelchy grass to see if any Carrot Week carrots have made it to the surface... the answer to that is "no". Gardening seems a long way off yet.

I live in a fairly conservative part of GA (my neighbors at least). My daughter excitedly wanted to show me the rain canopy (pouring here) she made to protect her kaleidoscope carrots from the down pour. Evidently this was urgent because she dragged me outside...

just then a car sped by...
Sooo... I count that as having participated in the festivities of this day, commemorating this most solemn occasion.

Re: In the buff
I'm not naked . . . I'm wearing a hat and sun screen.
Just kidding. I did NOT participate this year . . . and I'm not likely to . . . EVER.

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Blue streak.
Here, if everything weren't green, I would think it's February by the temperature.
