Re: New Home
Oh, a lovely clean slate to work with. And flat!
We look forward to seeing the tranformation.
P.S. You don't have to do it all at once.

Re: New Home
Welcome and Congratulations on the new home!
Any subject you're interested in, just use the search feature and you'll find some excellent older threads that are very comprehensive: worms, composting, Mel's Mix and more have some really long, information rich posts you can read through.
I've been around a few months and I'm STILL reading the older ones along with keeping up with new posts. I have learned so much, I can't wait for my garden to get rolling and see how much I remember
Enjoy!

Re: New Home
Thanks everyone. The property actually slopes.steeper in some areas than others. That little fenced in area looks flat but really isn't.Must be the way I took the picture.I will not be doing much untill we get the gutters on the house as that is where I hope to get my water from.We are doing solar panels first(just about done with permitting process)then the gutters will go on.Hope to get them on before rainy season starts here which will still give me time to catch some rainfall.I've been told this area gets about 6 inches a year. Coming from Western Wash that is mind boggling to me.Anyway I also need to educate myself on drip irrigation as that is supposed to be the way to water here.Anyone know of a good site or book about it?
