New Certified SFG Trainer here
Hi there everyone. I'm Ben from Palmdale, Ca. I have always had a brown thumb and after reading Mel's book and having success in turning that thumb green I decided to attend his Symposium in San Diego just last week. It was fantastic. There were some really great folks there. Made some new friends as well. Since I got back, I corrected thethings I was doing wrong and taught my first class to my in laws who really enjoyed it.
Now we have 3 SFG's in our backyard and plans for many more. I thought this would be a great place to come learn more about the plants and the planting season. What grows best and when for my area basically. I am looking forward to teaching more SFG classes and I am just getting started. Lots of fun ahead for sure. Thanks for reading.

Thanks.
Thank you. I should also add that I knew nothing about gardening before Mel's book except, buy potting soil, mix it with your dirt, plant a plant and water it, how much don't know. If it gets yellow back off the watering lol. I am a noob but now I have an excellent method for success. Anyone in the Antelope Valley area on this forum? I need help in figuring out what grows here and when. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Ben

Congrats! Maybe there should be one for Joshua tree. I know I'd attend if I could.
