I am tired of fighting the bermuda in my SFG, so I am thinking of going to TT. Can you over winter crops like strawberries and garlic in them in zone 6 and do they take a lot more water in the summmer.

I can answer the strawberry tt summer watering question from a central ohio perspective. This was a first time attempt. Had 47 days in the full range of 90's plus the drought. Often with 14 hours sunlight. Strawberries watered daily and grew vigorously. Anytime it hit 90's put burlap over the critter cage for mid day and west side sun protection. Don't know if it was necessary but I felt better doing it. Everything survived.

For tt strawberry winter care and your garlic question, don't know for sure. Someone will come along.
