White Fuzzy Stuff!

White Fuzzy Stuff!
When I went out to visit my garden about an hour ago, I noticed some "white fuzzy stuff" collected on the stem of one of my tomato plants. I went to wipe it off thinking it may have been spider webbing or something, and a part of it "jumped" off and landed on another leaf!
I tried to break off the leaf so that I could toss whatever it was out of my tomato box, but it jumped again and was gone. It was a bug, but it was white and fuzzy. I then wiped what was left of the white fuzzy stuff that was still on the stem. I checked my other plants (I have 11 of them), but didn't see any thing on any of them, so I don't have any pictures to share. Any idea what it may have been and what I need to do?
Thanks!

Re: White Fuzzy Stuff!
I also have this white fuzzy stuff with white bugs on my sunflowers and eggplants. The white flying things are very slow to fly away so whenever I see the white fuzzy stuff I squish it against the stem or leaves and this will kill the white bug. I too wonder what this is and if the bugs are carrying a disease of any sort or sucking on the stem.
