Brrrr.....
It is 37 degrees this morning, but thankfully no frost. (It's been in the 80's lately.) My bush beans & peaches 'n cream corn are up, but I covered them with a sheet last night (gives a whole new meaning to "bed sheet" doesn't it? That's another plus for SFG: First of all, I couldn't have even planted beans & corn, the ground would have been too wet to plow, too cold for seeds to germinate. Then I was able to cover them for protection.
DH bought more 2 x 10's for another 4 x 12 bed, plus two 10' beds flanking the arbor.
I have to get caught up on my paying job today, I goofed off all day yesterday outside & keeping tabs on the forum. I'll type until it's warm enough to work outside, then I have til midnight tonight to get my week's work finished. I joined the SFG Forum Anonymous club this morning.

Re: Brrrr.....
We had snow today and it is 37F now. I am putting off planting the carrots until tomorrow.
wow waiting?! I wish hehe
I wish I had time to plant carrots again. I had put in a good set not long after I made my second box, but my 4 year old got to digging and that was his target lol! He did manage to get a full bag of sweet peas planted in a single square. Managed to transplant those today and gave some seedlings to a neighbor.

I think it is so strange. You are clear across the country from me but the same weird weather is here too. Been in the 70's and 80's today we had hail and snow, temp dropped to 37 and will freeze tonight. I hope my stuff in my garden survives, I finally got lettuce sprouts.

Re: Brrrr.....
A huge gusty windstorm 2 nights ago that destroyed and blew away our PVC greenhouse! Luckily we took the time to rebuild it yesterday (despite 39 degree weather) because it snowed last night!
