I have no idea what this is, but if someone could please help me, I would appreciate it...especially if I could get an answer before dark. I don't want to leave a bad bug in my garden overnight. Anyway, here's a photo of it.

Thanks!!!

I was gonna say it was a lady bug larvae...but are those large pincer like mandibles on the front? The picture is kind of fuzzy.

If those are pincer like mandibles its a lacewing larvae.....which is a beneficial predatory insect and no cause for concern.

That's what it is! I have a book and the book showed it a different color! I watched it and it was stalking around like a predator rather than hanging out in one spot. I have a lot of lacewing eggs, so maybe they'll keep the aphids under control. Thanks so much for your reply!:-)
