What's happening?? Pics!
I'm totally clueless and brand new to gardening (this is my first garden ever). Been watching my little veggies sprout and it's SO exciting. However, now I'm stressing out about every little hole, cut, color, etc...
Found a tiny black spider on my potato plant, is that what would be making these holes?
My cuc's had a white small spider... but look at the edge of the leaves, why are they "cracked"?
Lastly, my new bush beans that are coming up. Found a tiny gnat or fly on the back of a leaf and above that is a teeny tiny worm (looks half yellow, half green).
I hate seeing things eat at my new babies - what can I do??
Thanks!!

If what you saw were truly spiders, they are the good guys - spiders do not eat plants, they eat the things that eat your plants! As to what is causing the cracking, hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will chime in.

I think the tiny flys may be bad guys and the worm definately is. Neem and BT to the rescue. Just a guess, but don't worry about those first smooth rounded leaves. If you will notice, the newest growth is a rough prickily leaf.
