Eggplant surviving winter in FLA
one of my Chinese eggplants survived the winter here in FLA (we had 2 hard freezes).
Has anyone experienced a second season with eggplants? What can I expect?

Re: Eggplant surviving winter in FLA
Eggplant has some fruit and flowers on it. Yeah.
On April 24, (Got a really late start this year) I transplanted some small tomatoe plants (6" tall). This is when I noticed the eggplant surviving. The tomato plants are growing well now at about 18" tall and starting to bush up.
Pictures soon as I am a new member here.

I'm excited to see your pictures as soon as you can post them. I'm growing eggplant for the first time and it's doing so well (a well respite given all the trouble I have with tomatoes here). Last winter we didn't have a single freeze, but we usually get 1-2 a year.

Climate
In the right climate (super warm) Eggplant is suppose to be perennial. So I too am anxious to see the pics!
