Trowels
I found large size plastic trowels at two places today. Walmart had them for .94 Cents and Home Depot had the same ones at .88 cents. (made by Fiskars - Fibercomp Trowel.) Picked up 10 of them for my classes.

"Like"
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Thanks for sharing! I'm headed to Home Depot tomorrow anyway, so will pick up a few more so my guys all have one each.

Re: Trowels
I like the idea of cheap plastic trowels to leave out in all weather. I could leave one in the corner of each bed and it'll be really handy at all times and I won't have the long traipse to the workshop to get one when needed. Thanks for the info.

Re: Trowels
Just curious what you use trowels for,
I am assuming by trowels, you mean like the ones used in tiling?

Re: Trowels
No, the ones that look like little shovels. I use mine to transplant seedlings or dig under and pull out a plant or add a trowel full of compost to a newly-emptied hole in the garden. Even to dig out a persistent weed.

Re: Trowels
OH ok
I agree, however I love the metal ones and THe little hand held pitchfork thing is my favourite tool.
always losing it, so when I see them on sale or at garage sales I get more...
