Sunlight

How long should a vegetable garden have sunlight? I can put it where there is sunlight almost all day from the time the sun rises to 6 pm or later or where there is sunlight from 10 am - 430ish pm.

As a rule, the more sunlight the better, as most veggies like a lot of sun. There are a few plants that you would need to shade in the hottest part of the summer.
