TT Pest Control
I was just thinking.... and that's always dangerous.... if I use a home defense type spray around the legs of my TT gardens, that might help keep out the kinds of bugs that would have to crawl up the legs to get to my garden. Then I'd only have to deal with the flying types. Maybe it'd keep the slugs away, too. I went out one night to have a look, and there were lots of slugs on the patio, wall, and rain barrel. I didn't find any on the tables, though.
Thoughts?

I haven't got an answer for you, but I've had similar questions. We treat our yard with bug-b-gone quarterly otherwise we end up with stink bugs in our house in droves, but we now also are using True Green for our yard and they spray for bugs that could cause grass issues. I'm curious as to whether this stuff will help control the bugs in my raised beds (of course I didn't use any of the yard soil or yard debris in my beds and won't be).

Re: TT Pest Control
I can only speak about slugs. I've had one in five years in my TTs; that's without any type of pest control.
I wonder if we have the same type of slugs in our differing climates?
I remember reading in the Hawaii forum about how they make their TT legs so that bugs can't climb up them. You might look there.

Re: TT Pest Control
Well, I sprayed the whole outside of our house today with the Ortho Home Defense spray, and while I was at it, I figured it couldn't hurt to spray the legs of my TTs. There have been some ants in there already, and a couple of caterpillars. I guess they climbed up somehow, and have since been smooshed. I'll be interested to see if there are any more non-flying insects in there after today.
