Went nusto-cuckoo yesterday
Did a bunch of experimental planting--indoors and out.
"Planted" black beauty zucchini and sugar snap peas in between layers of wet paper towels and incubated in a clear plastic take-out container. We'll see if they sprout.
Planted 4 Kentucky Blue pole beans in a water bottle.
Transplanted 9 sweet basil babys into plastic cups.
Sowed lettuce and cabbage seed in planters in the front yard.
Oh, and some sugar snap peas in vermiculite.
I just wanted to plant!!! Haven't gotten all 5 compost ingredients yet so MM isn't finished. I planted my seeds in (gulp) potting soil. Hey, I figured nothing ventured.... Besides, what do I have to lose except a few seeds????
And speaking of zucchini, I fried some for dinner last night (store-bought). Finally, I've found the proper batter for frying----cornstarch based---light, crispy, yummy. More of a tempura, I suppose.
I have started an album in photo gallery so check out my "Harvest Table" pic. Will continue to post more pics as I take them.
