Anyone else see a TT in the making?
Does anyone else see two 3x3s on this table that I scored at a thrift shop for $15 today?
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Nice find! That almost makes me want to go to the thrift store...

Looks great Kim.
Because of its length and the hinge in the middle, I might put a support under the center for just in case. Wet or damp MM is very heavy.

That was my thought too. It definately needs support in the middle.

It actually came with two rods that go across the bottom of each section for stabilization that I just need to screw in underneath. Thanks for reminding me of their importance.

Looks like a great idea. I just worry the boxes and mix might be heavy for the table

Oh yeh, center support will be a must.
My neighbor (engineer) said I might want to turn it upside down, take the plastic tips off and fill the hollow tube legs.
Sand or cement? Opinions/thoughts? I'm thinking sand would be easier, but would cement be better?

A 4x4x6" box, made of 2x and ¾ ply, with properly saturated MM, is in the 200-250 pound range. If two men can sit on your table, it will work.
I suggest that the most important factor is to ensure that the table is standing on a flat and level surface when loaded.
