What is typically considered "late spring" ??

My last frost date is April 1 - 10 ... so that would make my "late spring" ..... ???

Being new to gardening sure is a humbling experience!

Late spring would be towards the end of spring, more like the end of May-ish. I'm still pretty new too, but I haven't learned of any technical definition for 'late spring.' Smile

Thanks capatl! That's about what I was thinking but wasn't entirely sure.

I'm currently going through my old seed list (which is very minimal in information!) and trying to "beef it up" a bit so I'm ready when planting time comes next spring! Very Happy

Hah, it's not even a "complete" list because I know for a fact I have more types of veggie seeds than what are listed! LOL Like New Zealand Spinach (not on my list but I know I have the seed!) and a few others. Ah well, this list is at least a start! 22 types of fruits/veggies

Wow ... I don't know if I'm going to be able to plant all the varieties I have! LOL I know I've got at least 15 - 20 OTHER types of seeds not on the list because I added to my seed stocks after this list was written!

any experience with New Zealand spinach.....growing and eating.???? It came up wild in my back yard.....and I understand a few chefs prefer it in their dishes....

I understand it is best to roll the big hard seeds between 2 pieces of sand paper for easier sprouting..

I read that it does good in hanging baskets....want to try that one...it seems that the plants would need lots of "hair cuts"........I must try it soon......Ruth

Sorry Ruth, haven't had an opportunity to try it yet but I've heard good things about it! Smile

If, by some chance, I do get a chance to plant/try it before you do I'll try and remember to let you know!
