My boxes are all planted!
And I am tickled pink! 3 4x4 boxes of veggies, flowers, and herbs, and 1 3x3 of strawberried. They are so pretty. Oh and the radished Iplanted on the 13 th are already up. I keep running outside to just admire all my hard work.
Now I have to help my husband plant the row garden he wanted. He just can't get away from the tratditional row garden mindset. Maybe if my SFG do well he will see the light.
I left one square in my SFG for long carrots. Tonight I am going to make a "tophat" to plant them in.
This is so stinkin' fun!

Maybe you can convince him that sweet corn does well in a row garden. IF...you want to grow several hundred stalks or more, AND IF you plant one per square foot, AND IF you think that nurturing them year after year is best done with 5 composts as described in the ALL NEW SFG book...hey, let him go for it! You'll have corn coming out your... ...corn patch.
Re: My boxes are all planted!
Boffer, you are so funny! And we NEVER, EVER grow corn. No matter what style of garden it is. We did it one year and the raccoons completely distroyed everything in our garden, as they stripped and ripped up all the corn. Never been so frustrated in all my life. We leave the corn to the guy down the road who grows an acre of the stuff.

Good luck with your new SFG. Maybe with your successes, your hubby will change his mind and put in more raised beds.
Good luck.
Good luck.
