Hello. I recently joined this form and am taking up gardening again after a decade or so of absolutely no gardening at all. I had read about SFG years ago and decided to revisit it. I like the new book and the fact that you don't plant in the ground but use the raised bed plots. I've been clearing away the 10 year growth of trees and bushes from my garden area (and need to do so in many other places in my yard) and will be building my SFG frames next weekend. I've picked up most of my supplies for Mel's Mix (ULINE for the grade 4 vermiculite, a good suggestion from the book). Looking forward to re-engaging with gardening again.

Welcome from Coastal NC! I think you will find the ANSFG method a big change from traditional row gardening AND that will be a GOOD thing. Everyone here is really kind and helpful so feel free to ask questions - kind of like Camelot's Round Table for SFG.

Once you are able to post pictures, we would love to see your progress - from the 10 years of overgrowth to the building of your boxes to your harvests and beyond.
