When to Pot Up Seed Pellets Empty When to Pot Up Seed Pellets

Folks,

Am soooo happy seed time is finally here!!! Been at this 2 or 3 years now with some success but honestly my seeds don't transplant outside all that well..!!!

So I am looking for some advice on when you move the seedlings into bigger pots, but still indoors. I am starting out in those Jiffy seed pellets. I even have lights this year (hopefully helping cutback on the legginess).

I am planting Lettuce, kale & Toms primarily. Do you wait to see roots out the bottom? Overall height of the plant? When do you decide to plant into a bigger pot??? I'm not sure when I should do it....???

Any advice is much appreciated!!

Thanks
Simon

When the roots are trying to escape and the seedling is to big for the pot netting, remove the pot netting and plant directly into the garden or a pot.

Thank you - I was worried I was leaving it too late if the roots were starting to poke out (just by a bit) but that sounds about when u do it.

Appreciate the advice!

Thanks
