Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
I managed garlic scapes, lettuce, and strawberries added to last years blueberries and raspberries.
I feel my garden is behind this season as I have incorporated wood chips and it will take a year or so to start catching up.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
I had a mess of vittles tonight featuring mustard greens, turnip greens, turnips, kale, collards, beets and beet greens.
The only thing I ate that did not come from the garden was a Japanese Sweet Potato with coconut oil and cinnamon.
I picked tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and some small squash and zucchini for my brother's family.
This morning, I had a peach from the tree, and I picked a couple of plums. The squirrels missed a couple.
Tomorrow morning, I shall pick a basket full of herbs.

That all sounds wonderful, Razed.
I've never heard of Japanese sweet potatoes. What are they like? What makes them ... err ... Japanese, or distinctive or whatever?

Japanese Sweet Potatoes are much more nutritious than other sweet potato/yams. They are packed full of hyaluronic acid.
The particular sweet potato is called "satsumaimo," and you can find it in Asian grocery stores as well as some Whole Foods, Sunflower, Sprout's, and other similar health food grocers. If you live in Middle Tennessee, check out the Turnip Truck in the Gulch.
In my opinion, Japanese sweet potatoes taste better than domestic varieties. We thought about planting slips this year, but we had already run out of space, and the slips are pricey.
Concerning hyaluronic acid, here is some information to peruse.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Today, I am eating cut and come again swiss chard. Will saute with garlic, chopped leaves and stems, potatoes with some EVOO...yum!
I love Swiss Chard...
My beets are really close, soon to be replaced with carrots, since carrots are totally being shaded out by my squash plants.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
I have lots of green beans, carrots, radishes, a few tomatoes and zucchini. I love to just saute everything and eat. My lettuce and arugula bolted. I do have Swiss Chard but some of it isn't doing that well. ( I need to learn to love greens other than spinach - I mainly grow them for the tortoise. Beets, turnips, nasturtium, carrots and radishes are done - it is SO hot and humid right now! Eggplants, peppers and (lots) of tomatoes coming on! Sorry if I posted this in the wrong thread.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Thinned a couple each red and white onions, some spinach, carrots, basil, parsley and celery. Chopped them all up and lightly sauteed in olive oil and combined with some pasta for a salad to go with some BBQ'd chicken and home made baked beans for a Sunday dinner.
More things will start to come to the table over the next couple of weeks.
@kathy Nice!

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
After our 2" of rain, I went out and picked more Sugar Snap Peas to munch on. Love those little guys. That's about all I have in my garden right now except for the herbs which I can snip fresh every day: parsley, thyme, rosemary, oregano, sage, and the chives. Mmmmm good. I keep waiting for my few tomatoes to ripen and the blossoms to produce more babies for my future.

Picked 4 big Basil plants and made fresh Pesto yesterday. I also picked Eggplants, Pole Beans, and Cherry Tomatoes. We are getting rain showers every day, so at least I do not have to water garden.

Hey,
I roasted 6 tomatoes in olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and some fresh basil. At the end I topped with a little feta cheese.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
We had a large helping of pole beans, three very pretty zucchinis that did not get too big and watery, and the first refrigerator pickles that my wife made from our pickling cucumbers and dill.
We sent a basket of tomatoes and peppers to the rest of the family, and my niece says the Mortgage Lifter tasted better than the Brandywine.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Pole beans and a banana pepper. My summer season is just starting to get to the point where my veggies produce edibles, but the beans are coming on strong and I'll probably get a few every day or two until suddenly I've got tons of 'em. Might take about a week to kick in.
