I read somewhere to remove half of the screws on the lip to help with the sticking lid problems, I have put a 1 cf bag of compost in it and rolled it about my yard stopping to remove the lid many times, so far so good. I am like this thing so far, know its too early to tell, but for &20.00 all the much better.

Yeah a hammer and a philips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws in the lid is all the tools I used. The rolling base is an option, its comes with a base to park it on so it don't roll thru your neighborhood if a high wind gets ahold of it. Shocked

This looks good.  I think you'll have the same issue I have with my tumbling compost spinner of a different variety.  It is very hard to dump out the finished compost as it doesn't have ground clearance underneath to get a wheelbarrow, bucket or other carrying device to catch the compost.  Yesterday my husband and I had to lift the entire unit and stand up to dump it out into my wheelbarrow.

At least you can roll it to your garden site if you're going to use it immediately, that's a plus.  But if you're going to make composts to store it might be a little time consuming to dig out all of your compost to store it away.

I've been very disappointed with it for the clumping problem too - until this year.  I keep a trash can full of sawdust from a friend's wood shop and am adding that every time I add green kitchen waste and this time, good compost with no clumps and fairly fast.  I had been using paper scraps and I don't think I had enough browns in the mix.

Yeah I know, I just got real lucky to find 2 on clearance at Wally World...but the boxes were trashed been stored outside, wasn't even sure all the pieces were inside. Not sure I would pay $155.00, hopefully you will find one cheaper the boxes we got had $119.88 on them originally.

The bowling ball seems legit to me, any composter for 20$ is a steal imo!
