Expert gardener to speak at Florida fair

The creator and founder of square-foot gardening, Mel Bartholomew, will be the headline speaker at the Central Florida Landscape & Garden Fair.

The fair is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 11, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 12 at Ferran Park in Eustis.......................

I would love to see Mel but I live in St.Augustine Fl and my poor old 84' Relient won't make it. If anyone is planning on going from the Jax, St. Augustine area I would love to hitch a ride. I'll fill your gas tank and buy you lunch:D . please PM me if that sounds like a plan.

I e-mailed lake county as to the time and date Mel will be speaking as I could not find that information. Hope they will respond soon. Anyone out there in forum land know?

Ok hold the phone I see he will also be at Lady Lake Public Library, in Lady Lake on the 8th at 6:30pm.

Just a thought Shannon, but for a few more bucks, couldn't you rent a little import? I don't know the distance, but it seems like it may be worth it. Maybe then you could even have someone ride with you, and they could help with gas. Wink

Believe it or not, I actually hesitated with my suggestion, anticipating that might be the case. I'd like to meet Mel and hear his presentation. I can certainly feel your frustration.

We typically make an announcement when the foundation requests us to do so. You can also go to the "website" link in the green menu bar to go directly to the foundation to check for dates.
Mel's website doesn't typically announce his speakings either. Smile
