And so begins my adventure with square foot gardening... Very Happy

About me: a stay-at-home mom of a 3 year old. I sew, crochet, build stuff (working on a custom closet right now) and now trying my hand at this gardening thing.

My grandfather always had beautiful gardens...it has got to be in the genes, right? Laughing

Yes, ma'am, it's in the genes somewhere. It may take a little searching, but it's in there. Welcome aboard!! My grandfather had gardens, too. But, I've found SFG is the easiest way to fake the neighbors into thinking you have a green thumb.

Don't be afraid to show off your garden with pictures or ask questions with pictures. They truly are worth 1000 words around here. And, we love to follow each other's progress through a season.

If you don't have the book in the banner above, I strongly recommend you grab a copy. It's an easy read and explains so much. The forum is a great compliment to the book because most of us here have read it and love to help people with questions.

There is a regional forum for midwesterners I know you will find useful for localized stuff. And, there are plenty of other specific forums for specific questions, too.

Jump in, get active, and I'm sure you'll find this place one of the friendliest on the web. Thanks for joining in! Hope to see you around.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I checked out the book from our local library and took copious notes. Depending on how this season goes, I may just buy my own copy. Very Happy

Howdy and Welcome to our little corner of the gardening world where we watch the others hoe-hoe-hoe.

Speaking of the having your own copy of the 'ALL NEW Square Foot Gardening" book currently we have 22. One for inside the house, one for use in the garden, and a case of 20 to sell at our next class in Richmond, VA. If you can make it you can pick up a copy there.

God Bless, Ward and Mary.
