I was just going to put in my birth day... though not my birth year... and I get the message: Sorry, this site doesn't accept users older 99 years old... I doubt we have many people over that age, but I would hate to think we exclude them 
. I hope to still be posting then! 
I am quite certain it must be a forum software thing-a-ma-bob, but when I checked with a birthday of 1908 it really does exclude people over that age. Hopefully it is just a setting which can be changed; if not, perhaps a note on the profile page or wherever explaining it is a software issue.

It is a changeable feature. If we get a slew of 108 year olds joining I will be sure to change it right away!
