My caulifflower is nearly bolting.
Cool-weather crops are all getting ready or already are, bolting. My broccoli is past it. I have tons of yellow flowers. Was thinking of saving seeds but have to find out how to do that.
Here is one of my Freemont Cauliflowers. I had to harvest it this morning before it bolted.
This is another that is still in good shape so I'll wait a couple of days before harvesting to get some added size. I have another even smaller that I hope will gain some size and be useful before bolting.
We've had too much too hot weather lately. Not great for cool crops. But at least I can clear them out, add more lime and compost to the beds and start seeds for a fall crop. The seeds like the heat to germinate and by the time they get any size, we should be getting into cool days again.
I'll be trashing the plants in the next day or two and then I can get the beds ready for fall crops. To be sure not to spread club root, if I have any, I'll be trashing the Broc and Caul plants instead of composting them.

That is what I do with tomato plants. As far as I am concerned, every tomato is a diseased tomato.
Nice looking cauliflower. I have never gotten a decent head on one, but I have never grown it in an SFG before.
