I built a new 2x8 garlic bed yesterday and waiting on my garlic to be shipped. I had sunflowers planted in the ground in this spot so I framed it in and filled it with MM Very Happy

This was another in ground garden which I framed in and filled with MM. I always had great luck planting in the ground in this spot but the SFG will make things easier.

That looks like my garlic bed, Mr. Booker. Long and narrow rectangle except that mine looks a little rougher as I used some old wood.  But I know the garlic doesn't care so long as it gets fed.   Very Happy

I will be planting my garlic shortly.

Yesterday, I transplanted some onion and garlic chives in one end of the bed.
I can't find my invoice on the garlic I ordered to see when it will be shipped but I'm eager to plant.

It will probably be after Sept 1... At least if it's from Baker Creek.

I ordered "Inchelium Red" garlic from Gurneys for $4.00 per bulb. They gave me a 50% off reg price with a "special offer code". I only ordered 3 bulbs and supposed to get 10 to 20 cloves per bulb. That will be enough to get me a good start.

Wonderful looking beds MrBooker. I am impressed. You seem to have a very orderly, pleasant, and easy look to the gardens. Mine tend to be more functional looking, yours give off that comfortable feeling when I look at the pics.
What are you planting for the fall?

Well, thank you for the kind words. I'm semi retired and am home 4 to 5 days, most of which is spent in my garden. Right now, I'm gearing up for my fall/winter garden.

Planting things like Aruglua, Cabbage, beets, carrots, Georgia Collards, garlic, Kale, Leaf and head Lettuce,  Mesclun, Mustard greens, Parsnips, Snow Peas,  spinach, Swiss Chard, and Turnips. So, there you have it AND alphabetical order...  Very Happy

My wife and I were just discussing turning the rest of our property in SFG. We still have a large section of lawn out near the road where we could put a lot of SFG.

We give much of our veggies to the senior citizens center. They really seem to appreciate the things we bring them. Many of them are to old to garden anymore and cant afford to pay $1.37 per pound for sweet potatoes or $1.50 for a bell pepper.

We used to sell a lot of produce many years ago when we had a huge in ground garden and thinking about trying to market the veggies from our SFG if we build more. Thanks again. happy hi

Missed all the photos... That's what happens before I have coffee, lol!

Those ARE very nice looking. And good for you! I know they appreciate it.

I'd also like to convert everything to SFG. But I'm getting some resistance to that. Good thing I'm happy with what I have!
