NOTE TO SELF...
When harvesting produce:
We found a 4 pound zucchini behind a plant I check daily, along with 1 1/3 lb. and 1 1/8 lb zuccs!!!
I'm thinking the big boy is going to be slab sliced to make gluten free lasagna!

Re: NOTE TO SELF...
We'll see if I can grow something similar this year, having started my squash from seed.
Fortunately, my neighborhood is pretty safe.... Maybe a baseball bat?

Re: NOTE TO SELF...
I don't think I'll have this problem, since I'm one of the few people in our town and the only person in our neighborhood who can't grow zucchini.

audrey.Jeanne Congrats on a great harvest!!!!
last year was the first year for us to grow zucchini and we found we liked making bread and muffins out of it ......question....the bigger it gets does the flavor stay the same?
happy gardening
rose.... who also wants to grow zucchini for the chickens and wonders how long will a zucchini store?

Re: NOTE TO SELF...
My zucchini was a bust last year and I bought some HUGE ones for 50 cents each to make bread with. Found a recipe online for making "apple" pie with them. Boy oh boy was it yummy and I had to really convince my guests that it was zucchini pie. I made a really mean "apple" crisp out of them too. I'm trying zucchini again this year and if it does well I'll hope for some big ones.
