Hello all, My name is William but, everyone calls me Billy. I am a novice gardener but, new to SFG. I have been container planting since I was in my early teenage years and now that I am 27 this will be my first year outdoors Smile.

I do have a garden plot at my local urban community garden, in which I have taken a six week SFG seminar plus leadership training to be in charge of this twelve raised bed community garden. I am super excited to get started but, the downside is it is Wednesday night and the garden wont be built until Saturday morning Sad. I feel like a kid with a twenty dollar bill in the summer waiting on the ice cream man to show up lol.

But, in the mean time, I have been trying to select seeds that are easy to grow and will yield a lot of crops. My goal is to help feed people in my neighborhood who cant afford fresh produce from the local market.

The only thing I am unsure of is that there may not be Mel's Mix in the garden beds. I hope there is because I have been hearing good things about it. But if not, it will be a challenge for me to conquer.

glad you\'re here to the forum Billy. I agree with your concern over the Mell's Mix, it is the glue that makes SFG work so well. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of your progress. Look on the 'home' page screen there is a "how to" do stuff on the forum. In there is a tutorial on how to post pictures. We all love pictures. Good luck holding your self till Sat.
