Asparagus & Animals = fence?
I'm planting a new asparagus bed this spring. Do I need to fence it in to keep the deer and raccoons out? Or do they not like asparagus? Also planting rhubarb, potatoes in the same area.

Re: Asparagus & Animals = fence?
Never had deer or raccoons bother with asparagus or white potatoes, but, raccoons love corn (no fence will keep them out, except electric) and deer love sweet potatoes, they will eat the vines down to the roots! Never liked rubarb, so don't know about it
I put a 2 ft fence around garden area for rabbits and planted squash, cukes around outer edge for deer. This helped for raccoons didn't bother me either this yr.
