Home sick from work, gardening makes me feel better!
Had a nasty bug past 4-5 days or so. Didn't want to go running around at work with the leftover, so I took a paid day off. They say gardening makes you feel better...they are right.
Finished planting most of the boxes today...transplanted some tomato seedlings that I think I started WAY too late, then I doused them with ice cold rainwater..should've checked the temp first eh? Oh well, good excuse to buy some from the nursery I suppose. Since it's raining all week, we'll probably wait and see what they do, but I don't much like waiting for tomatoes anyway, so the nursery is sounding real good right now!
Not bad for a 1st SFGer so far..
Broccoli, June bearing strawberry, Red Onion sets, and lettuce transplants all planted. Beets, Spinach, Collards, Basil, Cauliflower, Nasturtiums, Brussel Sprouts, and a few others all sprouting from seeds already. Transplanted watermelon seedlings, but not sure how those will do either.
I'll get some pics when I feel better...

Hmmmm.....I feel some illness coming on. Judging by the forecast it will most likely hit around Wed. and be at the most intense stage by Thursday and Friday...possibly over by Saturday evening, just in time for my days off on Sunday, Monday and the stat holiday.
Seriously, I hope you feel better soon. Being sick sucks.
