Which plant makes you feel like a Gardening Hero?
Some plants sort of taunt you "Na-na na-na na-na -- you can't grow me!" (I'm looking at you, bok choy!). But others make you feel like a Gardening Hero.
For me, at the top of the hero list is arugula. Here's a square practically bursting out with the plant:
Of course, I can't feel too good about it, this camping-chest-cum-planter originally used for long beans is also bursting out -- surreptitiously seeded by a family member from last year's crop:
Of course, some of you are gardening heros every day -- with every plant. But for those of use who aren't, what's your Gardening Hero plant?

Yes I do use a ladder. The trellis is 8 feet tall. The bean vines grow at least 2 feet taller than the trellis before they start downwards.markqz wrote:yolos wrote:My gardening hero is - Rattlesnake Pole Beans - They produce like mad but I do have a few problems with them every year.

Everglades Tomato. They pop up all over the yard and thrive on neglect. The fruits are only dime size but they make up for it in quantity.
