Garden Playlist?
I was just updating my Mp3 with a few more cd's from my collection before I headed out into the glorious sunshine to finish my mels mix.
What's on your Garden playlist?
I can't be the only one who heads out to the garden with some tunes am I?
I have 1000's of songs on my Mp3...I am a music junkie....but some of it off the top of my head includes:
Zac Brown Band
Everything Sugarland has ever done!
CCR
Scorpions
Bon Jovi
Sara Evans
Godsmack
Nickelback
Oingo Boingo
Martina McBride
Darius Rucker
Aerosmith
Matchbox 20
JoDee Mesina
John Cougar Mellencamp
Lenny Kravitz
Bob Marley
John Mayer
Keith Urban
Oh boy the list goes on and on....as you can tell I like a little bit of everything.
Just thought this might be a fun thread...

Re: Garden Playlist?
The last thing I want to hear outside is music! I'd rather listen to the birds... a distant lawn mower... my dogs... the wind in the trees... the quiet, even. The only time I use my iPod is when I'm traveling and I don't feel like talking to anyone or when I'm walking on a treadmill. But then, I often find music irritating, disruptive and annoying. LOL

Re: Garden Playlist?
Sometimes I do that too. Yesterday I walked around the yard and listened to all the nature sounds.
I just never get to listen to anything I want to with two kids. I am never alone unless in the garden and it's the only time I get to listen to anything I want to.

Re: Garden Playlist?
Everything Brad Paisley has ever done, too. His lyrics are brilliant.
I love Sugarland, too, but you know they were a trio and dropped that fat chick just to become duo and run off B&D, right? Not that Kix and Ronnie weren't ready to go.

Ummm... Kristen Hall left them. They didn't "drop" her. At least... according to everything I've read. LOL

I live at the end of a dead end bordering a woodland so my play list contains more bird songs than I care to list and cicatas, none of whom make remarks about us fat chicks

Re: Garden Playlist?
I have my iPhone out there on mid volume, no ear phones, I want to hear a bit of both. Yesterday AM I was out listening to Blue Grass while watching the goats (making sure the 2 kids stayed out of the broccoli actually) and they kept checking out my phone, they've never done that before. I guess the goats liked the bluegrass music. Depends on my mood as to what is playing, sometimes Patsy and Hank Sr are crooning away, and sometimes it's bluegrass, but mostly it's the 70's soft rock station, the birds like it too, they sing along, and sing more when it's on.

Okay, I'll admit it, last year's play "Fat Bottomed Girls" and "Baby Got Back" aka "I like Big Butts", yes I like these songs, and prance around to them in the yard!!!!
Re: Garden Playlist?
Mine also includes the local birds and frogs. Sometimes a goose or 2. And if the Reds are playing, I'll turn the car radio on and listen to Marty & Jeff.

Re: Garden Playlist?
Tril, I sure do agree with you about not wanting to hear music when I'm outside. My "kids" are now in their 30's. I'm still trying to get over having to listen to their loud music. It wasn't even rap, it was just too loud and all the time. I turn it off when I'm in the car, I won't listen to it in the house and I can't imagine not hearing the birds when I'm in my garden. But, if I had a banjo player playing a tune, I suppose that would be ok, lol. Josh, your one in a million.

Oh I LOVE "Fat Bottomed Girls"! And then there is "She Runs Hot For Me" by Little Village. LOL!
Josh, your banjo pickin' is great. Come on up north here. My DH plays a mean 12 string and I have a washboard to add to the mix. If I ever find someone to fix my dulcimer we could add that too. BTW, is that a genuine cat skin banjo head? You know they are the best, don't you?

Washboard? Do you play the saw too? Those are so cool! I almost wish I had a video of me singing Rocky Top to my goats yesterday, with out sound of course.
Re: Garden Playlist?
No. I have never cared for that one. Wish I could play a wash tub base though.

Re: Garden Playlist?
I love music! Almost all types, I live in the city and so there isn't alot of birds and natural noises going on. when I get out early in the morning, or later in the evening I forgo the music, but middle of the day I always have my ipod with me.
Here are some I've been listening to alot recently. It changes all the time though!
Panic! at the disco
Lady Antebellum
Sugarland
Big and Rich
Brad paisley
Blake sheldon
Aerosmith
Aqua (my nephew loves them)
Maroon 5
Barenaked ladies
Blue october
System of a down
Fall out boy
anything 80's
Green day
Guns and ROses
Jason mraz
Pink
R.E.M.
Reba
Rascal Flatts
Shakira
Ugly kid joe
weezer
Muse
Various broadway musicals
So ya pretty much anything, but not alot of rap.

Now, THIS I'd have to see! You share, me share....
We used to grab a 6 pack and head to a local gym where a friend of mine taught tumbling. We would jam out to Ace of Base while getting hammered and jumping on all the trampolines. No one ever got hurt because we were still fairly coordinated athletes back then. However, one of us would surely die if we tried that stuff today. My friend and I used to do the running back flip off the wall to impress the ladies.
Now, all that said, I never had luck with the ladies. I know....shocker. We were a bunch of poor music listening, Zima with Jolly Rancher drinking dorks. But, we sure as heck had good times in junior college.
My wife has never seen the running back flip...or the trampoline show-off stunts.....or me drink a Zima...lol. And, she never will. If she did, and tradition held, I'd be single super fast. I like being married, so that will have to be all of our little secret. K? Shhhh.
And, old Green Day ROCKS!! Of course, you need to visualize that I didn't just totally toss my "street cred" out the window with my last statements to agree with me there.

FINALLY! I'm usually the only person who says "no thanks" to music. We don't have music in the house. We don't even have a way to play music in the house. LOL I think our son left something here... something so you can play an iPod. I don't know where it is, though.

Well it wasn't a "do you listen to music in your garden" question...it was a "if you do what is it" question. So you two are off the hook!
