Types of Compost?
I live in Syracuse NY and we have an awesome county recycling / composting plan here. For a cheap fee of $15 / season you can drop stuff off and take out compost. I've read the SFG book and I know it said 5 types of compost - The compost is made from food waste, yard and tree (they grind it) waste: Ratio is 3:1 with the food waste being 3. Do I still need other types of compost? I have some cow manure I was planning on adding in.... Also starting a compost bin was wondering if anyone had success with the garbage can types?

Re: Types of Compost?
So I would add some manure to that, possibly two kinds and call it complete. Someone else may have more to add.
