I am pretty close to South Caroline but have little experience using the SFG method. You think it will be ok for me and my wife to attend the Symposium end of this month? As a science teacher, the way to learn is to learn how to teach it.

Yes, PLEASE go to the Symposium. BUT make sure you've READ the All New SFG book - THAT'S the only prerequisite.
