Reinforcing boxes once they are on the ground?? Empty Reinforcing boxes once they are on the ground??

Post  jymarino 4/2/2011, 10:38 pm

I bought some 1" x 2" stakes to put around the outside of my boxes to reinforce them. These were premade boxes and I don't want to put screws in the b/c I may end up splitting the wood. The boxes are 4' x 4' so I figured I would put one about every 16" on the outside. Does this sound like it will work well or is there a better way I can do it with the stakes? Thanks!

sounds like it will work great. I use 2x4's for mine, but the boxes are considerably bigger than the premade ones.
