Layout for a newbie

In the magazine "Garden Gate" (based in Des Moines) there is a double page article showing a pretty good layout for SFG. She isn't doing it in sfg spacing but can be changed around. She does use grids (maybe that makes it a sfg lol). She put layouts for spring, summer, and fall in the planning. This would at least give an idea of how to do it and plant suggestions. I think the zone would pretty much be 5a and 5b.

In the article she didn't call it a square foot garden but reading online she does. And give spacings also.

i found a magazine was called gardening how-to, dated like jan-feb of like 93-94 in that area that had an article about sucssution planting in a side bar there was a article about sfg and suggstions about what to plant spring/summer/fall crops

That is the National Home Gardening Club magazine. Online archive doesn't go past 2008. Guess I will have to look into it.
