Q about peppers from seeds
I started a couple of varieties of peppers from seed as well as some eggplant. They are doing pretty well so far in the peat pellets where they were started. I just finished repotting my tomatoes into 4 inch pots, and I am wondering if I should do the same for the peppers or if they would rather be left alone until being set out in my boxes.

I never repotted mine last year and they did fabulous. I suppose it depends how big they are though.

i always pot up my seedlings at least once before putting them in the ground. my experience is like jay bird's, things suddenly take off and by the time they go the garden they are very vigorous.
Re: Q about peppers from seeds
Just up-potting my peppers and eggplants seemed to invigorate them. They are looking good in their 3 inch pots. I still have several weeks before mine can go into the garden, so they would not have survivied in the peat pellets.

Q about peppers from seeds
I plant the peppers in larger pots also just like tomatoes and they have a great root system when it is time to put them into the ground.

Re: Q about peppers from seeds
Thanks for all the replies! My plans were to up-pot them along with the tomatoes, and then I had someone suggest that they may not like having their roots messed with that much. They are still pretty small, yet, but the peat pods don't leave much room for growing. I'll probably go ahead and give them some more space soon.
