Winter Wonderland
With this scene outside my window yesterday morning, spring seems farther away than ever. Apparently we had freezing fog the night before which turned our morning world into a fairyland.
(Thanks to hubby who darted outside in his longjohns and moccasins to snap this photo for me in 5 degree weather before the sun hit it and destroyed it.)

Re: Winter Wonderland
Only somebody who lives in New England can tell the difference between Rime frost and Hoar Frost. I had forgotten about the term, now I know about hurricane categories. Now that I think about it, perhaps I was better off knowing more terms for too cold.

Frost
Thanks for the information. I had no idea frost could cause these formations.
It was beautiful, but once the sun hit it, it seemed to just evaporate. This was a Queen Anne's lace plant and as you can see the frost crystals on it were huge. (At least to my Upper South mind.)
