I finally have snap peas!
Greetings from the southland - California, that is. Just when I thought I would go almost pea-less I checked after neglecting the garden for a week and I have snap peas. Finalmente! I am so psyched. So I will have peas and some slightly past prime broccoli with dinner tonight.
And in other garden news: the lettuce has done fantastic - have some nice looking romaines and lovely leaf lettuce. Too bad I am not a real lettuce person. The garlic and onions are coming along. The one cabbage looks ready - it is gorgeous.
Onions and celery
Holdout from the 4X4 of flowers
Only drawback. I will be moving - locally - in March or April probably so I do not want to plant anything else and it is the beginning of the best season! Arrrgggghhhh. I am also seriously wondering about taking some of the MM with me. If not I will just rake it out onto the existing sod and add a little more seed and walk away with a tear in my eye. I may be more attached to my garden than is healthy.

Re: I finally have snap peas!
Your snap peas are glorious! Enjoy them, and you should continue to be able to harvest for a while now that they have finally come in. Those onions look great too. What a pretty cabbage. I have never grown cabbage and was not sure if "Home Grown" would look so nice.
I hope you can find a way to move your boxes and your MM. It would make life so much easier if you could set up quickly at your new home.
Fingers crossed for you.

They're beautiful! I hope they're as tasty as they are pretty I hope to figure out how to grow nice lettuce this year, since I haven't gotten it right yet and I absolutely love salad.
Re: I finally have snap peas!
I hope you get to move your MM too. I don't know your situation and how you will be moving, but if you could gather up some 5 gallon buckets =would be nice.
I am sure you are enjoying your harvest. It is a pretty one.

It all looks great. I hope you have room for an SFG at the new place even if you'll be starting a little later.
Good luck in your new venture.

Yeah, let it dry out so it's lighter and pack into plastic bags!

LOL. Well, I still have 1 bag left and there was no question that it was coming with me. I was thinking more about the practicality of it. But I am pretty certain that it will be too hard to walk away and I will end up bagging or bucketing it. It was just too expensive if nothing else!
