Hey everyone on the East Coast
I am safely tucked away here in Central British Columbia, but watching the news and weather and hoping all of you and your gardens on that side of the continent will be safe as "Earl" approaches.
Hugs and prayers for all of you.

Hey everyone on the East Coast
I'm on the eastern seaboard, but for once too far south to get the effects of Earl. For all you friends in the northeast states, my mantra is "Earl, go east. Earl, go east." Still hoping he will head out into the Atlantic and leave y'all be!

East Coast.......
I just heard the report on the Weather Channel- If Earl continues on his present course, we will be spared. Nantucket MAY get a small piece of the weather in the form of gale force winds, but not hurricane force. But so far here in VA, just a few brisk winds and no rain. Saftey to all.

Re: Hey everyone on the East Coast
I am getting coastal flooding alerts / watches for VA on my phone, but looks like no rain, so far. But these things can change very quickly. Safety to all!

Same here, Ward. I wish we WOULD get a little rain! We are doing fine with the misting system (in fact, a small group of birds just took up residence!) but I miss the smell of the rain, plus some of the up-high leaves are looking awfully dry. I should try to hose everything down from the top tomorrow, just to get some of the dust off.

Earl missed Yorktown Virginia. I did not even see a leaf rustle last night. This morning we are getting a bit of a drizzle. While it is inconvenient for my days plans I hope it lasts all day. My garden needs rain!!!

our local forecast is getting tamer and tamer. Right now the maximum wind speed predicted for Acton, MA is 17 mph!
