Tomato Colors? Empty Tomato Colors?

Post  glasgrl 8/18/2010, 4:17 pm

Can the outside color of a tomato depend upon weather and other growing conditions? I have never grown Amish Paste before. They're coming in very prolific, a smaller, oxheart-shaped tomato. But I thought they were supposed to be red. These tomatoes are mango!

They're *really* cute, and they're ripe. I was just really surprised by the color.

With this info I would say that your tomato colors are just right for the type and the colors can vary.

Oh good! Thank you! They just don't look like any of the pics Google came up with. I bought the plant from a local gardener, so I wasn't sure what to expect.

(The colored text was a nice touch. Cool )
