Guess how long?
I'm going to pull up my big carrot on Monday 7-26-10,it's planted in a 14 inch high rise.
I thought it might be fun if everyone guessed how long it might be,the one who is closest to the length without going over,I'll give a prize of a pack of seeds.
I'm just going to measure the actual carrot. It is a carrot from the world record variety,2 x 4 Giant,it could exceed 14 inches in length acording to the seed package.
Be sure to check and see what numbers have already been posted.
Here is a picture of it today-7-24-10 it is 2 inches across.

Re: Guess how long?
Wow, that's some girth on the carrot. My guess is 13 5/8" long. Can't wait to see this bad boy.

I'm so impressed. I can't even grow the short, stubby varieties
My guess is going to be 14 1/4".
Can't wait to hear the news!

Re: Guess how long?
My guess is that you'll have an 'L' shaped carrot, 15-3/4" long
Whatever size it is, I'm sure it will be something to be proud of!

My guess: 15"
Have you seen this, Josh? http://www.carrotmuseum.co.uk/record.html
The record for the longest carrot is 19 feet 1.196 inches. I wonder if the guy ate it?

Hee hee, I was going to say 15" L-shaped. Ok, I'll go with 15-1/4" L-shapedWyldflower wrote:My guess is that you'll have an 'L' shaped carrot, 15-3/4" long
Re: Guess how long?
I am withdrawing my guess of 13" because Chopper chose that length, (sorry I was not paying attention) revising my guess to 11.25"
