Organic/Natural Wood Preservative for Lattice?
I would like to preserve the lattice I made for the square foot garden. I actually have some which my dad had preserved with commercial preservative, but am scared to use due to leeching/runoff.
I have read about linseed oil, tung oil and so forth. I wanted to know what others have used with success, thanks.

I have left mine untreated. I'd rather replace the grid than take a chance but there are more here than me, someone must have an answer.
Re: Organic/Natural Wood Preservative for Lattice?
I don't treat any of the wood for my Square Foot Garden. Boiled linseed oil although from a plant contains metals which I would not want contaminating my garden. My climate is fairly dry but I have not had a problem with wood lasting several years - even the grids.
