Electrical Conduit Bender - what a fun tool!!!
I just spent the last half hour with my husband learning how to use the conduit bender - i was afraid to do it alone because well, i worry about stuff, lol
we figured out a good technique that works for us and in no time at all, bent a bunch of 10' conduit for frames. we installed 2 of those frames tonight - tomorrow i'll attach the trellis netting
can't wait for the neighbors to see the new 'artwork' on the front lawn, lol (most of the garden is on the front lawn and side door . . .)
i get to go shopping fo rmore electrical conduit and rebar to finish out my trellis'!
so exciting!
and it ended up being a break even point for me this year to buy a conduit bender vs elbows as we are installing 6 more trellis'. and i'm sure we'll expand further next year. . .
the straight connectors are SO much cheaper!!
i will talk to my friend cassie - another sfg friend - who is also a teacher about me doing my sfg 'class' presentation on installing trellis and using a conduit bender - would be fun, hands on thing. . . yep, i'm going thru the class - the home version. . .
have a wonderful day!
i will share/take pics of my new trellis' once they're all installed. . .

Re: Electrical Conduit Bender - what a fun tool!!!
I really enjoyed using the bender I borrowed as well. Took a bit of time to figure out how much conduit was "lost" in the bend, but once I did it was easy peasy. Before returning the bender, I made 8 elbows to use for future trellises. As you say, the stright connectors are really cheap -- about 35 cents each, so having the elbows already made up made a lot of sense to me.
