Hello from Surrey, Canada
This is my first season using the Square Foot garden plan.
I have been gardening the conventional way for a few years with moderate to poor results.
When I was introduced to this method I had already a couple of similar ideas so I tried to follow the sq ft plan as closely as possible.
I have built 13 boxes for this year’s season. Using a far bit of wood from old construction projects. All of the boxes are elevated with plywood bottoms.
All boxes have soaker lines for automatic watering.
So far the results have been very good.
I think the sq ft garden is a great starting point; I have a few ideas to improve on this already great idea.

Re: Hello from Surrey, Canada
Welcome to the forum Jeff! We'd love to see some pictures of your garden. Head on over to the Showcase of Gardens and show it off. We also have a Canada forum you can post updates and questions on if you would like a Canadian perspective.
I would also love to hear your ideas on improving on SFG. We're always looking for ideas to help our gardens along.
