Now is The Time To Take Seed Inventory
The seed catalogs have arrived, the ground is covered with snow, and the planning for this year's gardens has begun....

Re: Now is The Time To Take Seed Inventory
Good reminder. Some companies are even having discounts and/or free shipping. 2024 seeds are showing up in my hardware stores and it takes restraint to not buy any until I've gone through my inventory.

Inventorying my seeds right now! I have some older ones that will probably struggle with germination. Making lists!

...and, checking them twice...
Just remembered that I haven't ordered any bunching onion seeds. Must correct that oversight!

Re: Now is The Time To Take Seed Inventory
Inventoried my seeds February 1 so I could start peppers and herbs on the 2nd. I had to order Serrano pepper (new for me), chives, lemon grass (2013 seed packet!). I tossed some that were 10 years old or that I don't want to grow again. The one scary thing was that I only had 6 poblano seeds left and couldn't find any for sale! Four (4) of the seeds are in snack ziplock bags and 2 are in pots. I need to grow 2 plants each year for my cooking needs.

I saw that Seeds 'N Such has hybrid poblano seeds:

Re: Now is The Time To Take Seed Inventory
Thank you, but the Seeds 'n Such order is already on the way. But. I don't think this definition is appropriate for 110*F summers. "performs even better under cool conditions!" I will watch for them early this coming winter.
