What is this awful rot on my squash? Thanks for your help!

Could be one of a couple things: Poor Pollination, or Blossom End Rot. Neither are long-term problems, and will normally correct themselves. An unexpected period of cool nights can cause the plants to not take up enough calcium, which results in Blossom End Rot. Likewise a cool or wet period of time will keep pollinators from being able to fully pollinate the flowers, resulting in rotting fruit.
Remove the rotting fruit to the compost pile, and wait for the plants to set fruit again.
